George and I had adjacent cubicles the first year we worked for Caliber. When I told him he reminded me of someone he said he hoped it was Bill Cosby, his hero. It wasn't though. It was Howard. Was it because both were handsome African American men, married to beautiful women?

George, Tim ’s friend from Columbia, Maryland , must have often worn clothes that matched because I called him color-coordinated. He replied: everyone who lived in that planned community was color-coordinated – it was a rule. I now live about thirty minutes from Columbia and, still think of it as Color Coordinated Columbia.
