Sue 224 x 365

Our neighbor, Sue, blames NIH for the cancer that has touched four of her five children. One son died of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. One daughter survived breast cancer, the other, uterine cancer. Another son survived testicular cancer. She also cites cancer cases of similar-aged people who grew up in the neighborhood.

That's bizarre. They need to get an epidemiologist involved...

It's hard to prove...if it isn't all the same kind of cancer, it tends to be looked at as coincidence. Hence, we have an old weapons dump about 40 miles away with childhood cancer in little clusters--but not the same kind twice. Frustrating. and scary.

Hmm, it makes me wonder why it would have to be the same cancer? If something causes a genetic mutation, would it have to be specific to a particular type of cell, like a cervical cell, for example?
