Friendly Irish woman 184 x 365

When Candy and I hitchhiked through Ireland we passed an old woman standing outside her cottage who impulsively invited us in for tea. As we made the tea and cut the bread, she sat and told us her recipe for Irish bread. I make it every single St. Patrick’s Day.

My (twin) brothers-in-law, Danny and Dennis have been farming just outside Elgin, Illinois all their adult life. Before that their father farmed some of the same land . In less than two years most of the land they farm will become a subdivision for the rich. Their landlords are selling out.
