Miss Jademan 171 x 365

My fifth grade teacher, Miss Jademan, assigned a prayer for us to memorize. I couldn’t find a copy of it and didn’t know how to find one. I expected to get in trouble, but didn’t, and didn’t understand why, later realizing it must have been because I attended public school.

Clearly you have never been down south.
Three things I learned about after moving down here:
1. The Civil War is NOT over. Not by a long shot.
2. It was (until last month) still legal for administration to use corporal punishment on students in our county.
3. Prayer is encouraged and accepted in public schools (yet Halloween is not allowed to be celebrated)
