Ali McGraw look-alike, Ann divorced my cousin Ron for a richer man but that ended in divorce too. Now church mouse poor, Ann lived last winter in my mother’s Wisconsin summer home. She used very little heat. The dozens of empty boxes of wine she left may have helped some.

George, Tim ’s friend from Columbia, Maryland , must have often worn clothes that matched because I called him color-coordinated. He replied: everyone who lived in that planned community was color-coordinated – it was a rule. I now live about thirty minutes from Columbia and, still think of it as Color Coordinated Columbia.
